Too many white folk dying from the opioid crisis, not enough non-white folk.

Gotta pump them nonwhite opioid deaths up.

Redheads are known for being more sensitive to pain than any other groups.

Pain is racist against white people?

gay men also suffer from a disproportionate amount of sphincter pain for which they purchase Advil, let us not forget their plight... they should be recognized and appreciated , and not overshadowed by the Black people

This might apply to oxycodone. I doubt Doctors are withholding Ibuprofen for people of color.

What is pain bias? Do they mean pain tolerance? Are they tying that to treatment? So that would mean black people experience substantially more pain in any given incident. Did any neurologists or other entities back this? How are Jack’s nerves different than Tyrone’s nerves?

Can Advil let the cluster migraines I’ve gotten since I was kid know that I’m white and shouldn’t be getting them?

That pain equity survey the sign is referencing:

quote:

In July 2023, 7 members of the Black community shared their experiences with pain inequity. Their stories are different, but they all have one thing in common: no one believed their pain was real.

This isn't racism, this is prescribers doing everything possible to not get involved in chronic pain management.
