CoPilot is amazingly powerful. I use it constantly now.

I have two AI workshop books on my desk right now. I am focusing more on ChatGBT and Grok though.

I've tried, it's not much better than any of the other products out there

You're wasting your time.

The geniuses here have written off AI.

They have no clue about how rapidly this will improve and how their today criticisms will fall away like vapor.

Clueless, in denial or both.

Or, maybe we don't respect people who outsource their work to AI. We punish students who use AI to write reports, but we're expected to accept that incompetence in the workforce?

Gmail insists on having at AI tool summarize my email, then give an AI response suggestion. I'm fully capable of reading and replying to emails my self, thank you very much.

The funny part is the little AI buddy in my Gmail seems to have opinions as to their meanings. It lacks references, previous conversations, and the history behind them so it just paraphrases the sentences into shorter blurbs that lack a ton of context. Useless.

Everyone championing AI wasn't efficient enough at what they were doing beforehand. If you are good at what you do, this will only cause the dummies to come up to your level, until the AI is wrong. Already seen it happen.

Allow me to pipe up and say fhat this may be true if your job is menial paper filling type work. If you do hard shite, copilot is useless.

I have a paid for whatever the most nuclear access you can have shite is, and its absolutely retarded. Id rather have a few good interns.

I got some bad news Harry. If your company is using Entra or has a MS corp domain. They have access to your sensitive files already.

I dropped a 100+ page insurance policy into Copilot this morning and asked it a very nuanced question and had a great answer under a minute.

Not a joke at all, Q blows copilot and chatgpt out of the water in the IT space. It's not even comparable.

Chatgpt can't structure an excel sheet without formula errors. It damn sure can't write code, Q is in a league of its own for agentic coding.

It is good for that kind of stuff. Also very useful for combining spreadsheets, reorganizing data, being a fancy Googler, etc.

It's basically a retarded intern. I have agents set up with various standard configurations (engineering strict, abstract, etc) and it has a place. To say it has dramatically increased my efficiency or caused other less capable people to vault past me in performance would be grossly incorrect. Like I said earlier, a few good interns would be more valuable to me than copilot is.

But if you don’t learn MS Copilot and how to leverage Agents you’ll be passed by your coworkers and competition in no time.

Have fun with that. When AI itself gets hacked and/or people cannot function anymore because they've become dependent on it, some of us will still be standing.

My work: We want everyone to use Copilot. Take advantage of it.

Me: So I can get it to do all my research, analysis, and reports.

My work: No, no, no, not that, but we do want you to take advantage of it.

Me: Oh, ok, got it. So how do I use it.

My work: You just simply put in this prompt and say this and make sure to go edit this and make sure it says exactly this and this and then when it comes back proof it and look up the research so that you can insure your prompt says has the correct keywords in it and you can then use it as an example and make it your own.

Me: I could have done it all myself by the time I do all that.
