Why would anybody have a problem with this? At least put the store owner on notice. Good for them.

What the hell kind of mindset is this?

Is the owner of the gas station the one killing people? Or is it rogue gas pumps?

How would shutting down the business stop murders at the building? Are they expecting the building to be demolished too?

Is the store owner a criminal? If not, why should he be treated like one?

I'm just glad they're not blaming whitey for all of their problems. This is actually something practical that could make a difference in their own neighborhood.

Again, at least put the store owner on notice!

I say they should lean into it. Make the local Texaco the place for beef squashing and grudge settling. Make it like the ungoverned international waters of Jackson. Immunity is given for any killings that happen on the station's premises. Think of it like a call out for a duel......High Noon at the Texaco 1 is what the first iteration will be called. Put up some bullet proof camera boxes and stream that shite behind a paywall. Use the proceeds to fix Jackson's shitty drinking water problem.

Well, the 5th amendment has a problem with it. And the 14th, and probably the Interstate Commerce Clause as well.

So there's that

Closing a gas station is going to reduce violent crime?

Of course! Just like forcing retail store owners to close will stop shoplifting and petty theft.

They want the station to hire a security officer to patrol the business, so thy can justify going somewhere else when the owner has to raise prices to cover the expense of a security guard.

Of course, closing the station will cause a convenience store and gas station desert in the area, which they will complain about. Most of the grocery stores in Jackson have already shut down because of shoplifting.

It will likely only make the shooters move to a store lot a block or two down the street to do their killing, because they must have clear fields of fire to have any hope of making a kill as they drive by or motor into, across and back out of the lot.

What a killing field my hometown has become! So sad for all of the gang member, store robber, and drug pusher Mommas

How is the business causing this problem? How would the business shutting down stop the problem? Wouldn't the business shutting down just move the problem somewhere else?
