I have no issues with WIC. SNAP should be the same, an approved list to choose from. No EBT cash benefits. Beyond WIC, my question is why is it the taxpayers who have to support all of these people? I can see low paying jobs. You want McDonalds and other similar workers? Ok, supplement. But everyone else? That should be on their family. Not taxpayers.

On one hand you have entirely too many people who can work ,but refuse to do so. On the other hand you have people who may have recently lost thier job and need it at the moment. I am not against helping people that need it ,but I am against people who make terrible decisions, make it a lifestyle, and are rewarded for it. For far too long America has completely subsidized idiots for making terrible decisions and people are tired of it. What I can absolutely 100% say is that SNAP should not be used to buy soda or junk food and certainly should not be allowed to be used in resturants or coffee shops.

A bunch of people aren't getting paid and other services are being withheld, so pardon me if I'm not getting up in arms that the takers are having some issues. I have empathy for the situation they will be in, but I also pay shite tons of taxes for very little in return lately.
The roads/interstates are a necessity, but that is a joke in Louisiana with very little progress. The idea of raising taxes for the middle class is a crock of shite. And anyone who believes in the basic idea of Socialism is either in debt themselves or too wealthy to understand what that would cause.
Money doesn't grow on trees, but you wouldn't fully understand that unless you pay your own bills without being on assistance for indefinite period of time.

It truly sucks children are affected, but the government is not their parents.
But it’s okay for the government to have beef imported from Argentina while American farmers are watching? Or bailout Argentina to the tune of 40 billion dollars?

I volunteer at a food bank once a week. Every once in a while we see someone who looks like a freeloader but almost everybody is elderly, disabled or both.
We go to the NOLA farmer’s market at city park every now and then. They exchange food stamps for wooden tokens so they can buy from vendors and the vendors can get paid cash. The people I see handing over those tokens all look like gutter punks who choose not to work so they can panhandle and do drugs.

Not cheering. I just do not care.
Folks who can need to take care of their own instead of constantly taking from others.

Nothing more American than punching down.

16% of Louisianians are on EBT, which is close to the percentage of Americans that live below the poverty level. Cutting people off from food is the cruelest thing possible. I hope no one in your family has to experience this.

You fall for all the leftie emotional talking points.

Obesity prevalence increased as family income decreased. Obesity prevalence was:
11.5% among U.S. children with family income more than 350% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
21.2% among children with family income 130% to 350% of FPL.
25.8% among children with family income 130% or less of FPL.[1]
So why when they get poorer, do they get fatter? Statistics don't support poor kids going hungry.

Boy, you are correct. Leftists and Dems absolutely suck as people even more than usual during Republican presidencies. Obstructing law enforcement to help criminals and rapists, supporting Hamas continuing to control Gaza and to harm and murder the residents there, not allowing a vote in the Senate to continue funding these welfare programs like WIC at exact same pre-October levels, their constant threats of violence by all levels from their rank & file to congressional leaders towards people with different political views on role and scope of governments, and of course murdering a prominent member of opposition for pushing free speech on college campuses and then cheering his murder.
Dems can make anything rotten.

Are you mixing me up with someone else? I would love to see all subsidies cut, and have openly said multiple times lobbying by ex-politicians should be considered treason.

You ever thought that this has to do with the quality of food that children in impoverished areas have access to? Food deserts exist, and so do lack of areas for actual exercise. Your ignorance on this subject shows.
Link between poverty and childhood obesity
