It's literally not about me. If Bruce jenner changes him name and gets a sex change operation, it's not forcing me to do anything...including paying a lick of fricking attention to him. Were it not for all the grousing about it I'd have literally never given it once second of thought.

Why does this bother so many people is completely beyond me...

I doubt you'd find a legitimate doctor anywhere in the world who would do that.

Is does bother me that a prominent sports network is giving him a "courage" award for doing it when it is obvious they are doing it so as to get more eyeballs to watch their awards show!

To be honest, I don't think anyone really knows where it will go at this point. Once you take things that have been fundamental bedrock staples of society and overturn them, then you've really opened a Pandora's Box from which nobody can tell what will emerge.

For example, once marriage is no longer limited to a man and a woman, then what limit is there? I understand and agree with the point about animals and kids not being able to give consent. But once you remove the traditional sense of right and wrong that has driven our society for centuries, even these things are arbitrary and subject to revision. What we see as "wrong" and morally reprehensible as a society is every evolving and, at least in my opinion is devolving. Things that just in our lifetime that were seen as abominations are now being celebrated. So while today we see it as horrible that someone would want to have a sexual relationship with their dog or some 11-12 year old kid, there's no way to know if those things will be viewed by society in the same light in say 50 years from now. Even today by the logic (what I see as flawed logic btw) being used to argue to allow children to the "right" decide they want to be a different sex, I'm sure some will take that to the next step and say those same kids have the "right" to decide to be sexually active with whomever they want. Sounds warped? Yes it does, warped and sick. But I'm sure there will be those who eventually make that connection and argue for at least lowering the age of consent.

The bottom line is that once you remove the traditional foundation of a society's sense of right and wrong, what you're left with is a house built on shifting sand and there is no way to know how that sand will shift in the future.

But will they eventually be forced to?? I think that is a legitimate question.

OMG, you are not "Left" in any way.

You're cis sexual, white privilege is oozing out of you, not to mention your hate.

You'd better check your white, hetero privilege.

I just don't like the media's agenda to shove this down everyone's throats as "normal".

The way to get rid of the media attention on these things is so simple. Do Not Watch or Listen to it. But you have millions of people who put their self worth on what the Kardashian sluts are doing, and what their Step-Tranny does in public. Its ridiculous to me how much people care about what other people do, mainly what celebs and professional athletes do in their personal life.

I would imagine any real doctor with any kind of scruples is not going to be forced to do a surgery he feels is unethical.

And it's going to be everything ESPN hopes it will be. Everyone will be talking about it, ESPN will be showcasing their acceptance and tolerance (which is their sole motivation for this) and everyone will be watching and eating it up. Then they will get tons of pub when it airs on it's reality show "Keeping up with Caitlyn's Stuff"

These people you refer to are a tiny subset of American Culture.

It's no different than ignorant perspectives violent crime. We are living in the safest time of the past fifty years, but many retards are led to believe that the world is full of whacko fricks who are one step away from buttfricking your wife before they burn your house down with you inside it.

No, but they sure can push for gender neutral bathrooms in schools.

Other than urinals being designed for males, there's no scientific need for segregated bathrooms.

Looks like the trend on violent crime which has been going downward for a long time is starting to go the other way now....

Violent crime rises for second consecutive year

quote:

WASHINGTON — Violent crime in the United States rose for the second year in a row, a government report said Thursday, indicating that the nation's two-decade decline in crime has ended.

The 2012 National Crime Victimization Survey by the Bureau of Justice Statistics found that 26 of every 1,000 people experienced violent crime, a 15% increase in how many people reported being victims of rape, robbery or assault. Property crime — burglary, theft and car theft — rose 12%.

It means that he thinks that he leans Left, but that the actual Left would consider him to be a political enemy, not one of their fellow travelers.

It means that he doesn't understand the true nature of today's Left Wing.
