Howard Stern cited a report this week that estimates Bruce Jenner's $100,000,000 net worth will become Caitlyn Jenner's $500,000,000 net worth.

This is a publicity stunt of epic proportions. I don't read much into the social impact of this. The fact is that this is a media troll job of a gullible and stupid consumer society. Caitlyn is going to be worth half a billion dollars.

If I was in high school I would absolutely jump on this train and identify as A minority, and tear up some minority scholly $$$, not to mention some affirmative action.

I do not consent to pay for raising a child for a teenage mother, but my taxes end up going to pay for it anyway.

Intolerance of intolerance is what's bothering you? Maybe you should think about that one a little more .

Okay, this is something I though I would never say, but with the exception of "I understand gay," I agree with you - I'm more worried with agreeing with you than I am with transsexuals being looked upon as normal people who should be admired!

Seriously though, someone who has that much of an identity crisis, cannot be a mentally healthy individual - and, yes, it's a slippery slope indeed if we do not draw a line with the "acceptance mindset" somewhere...

I went through this exact scenario last night. I posted the Vanity Fair "back cover" picture in a small Facebook group and some woman went totally ape shite on me, calling me Transphobic and Homophobic and it's people like me who caused her son to take his life because he was bullied as a child and couldn't take it any more...

One post of a comical picture and I'm suddenly a Transphobic? Who labeled who here? Who bullied who here?

These liberal fricks are so blind to their own hypocrisy that it's sickening!

Absolutely the best I have ever heard this put

Agree with everything. My problem is that I don't see it as an act of courage. I see it as a sick person acting out. And it bothers me that a segment of our population has nothing but respect and congratulations for it.

Don't forget who it is that's doing this. A person who's lost the public's attention since being ousted from the Kardashian clan. It's as much a media attention ploy for the almighty dollar as it is a sick person acting out...

Which makes this debacle all the more sickening and disgusting.

When Joe/Jane Doe off the street does this, does he/she get all the "courageous" publicity? Why isn't ESPN honoring all those unknowns for their courageousness?

I think you are born with some of those characteristics

I think some people are fascinated with that lifestyle and choose it

To each his/her own, I don't think exposing kids to it is right but kids today have access to everything and will be exposed to it but if raised right will make decisions for themselves and not be influenced by the media cramming it down our throats

If you want to go down this wormhole, it's gonna open up a mighty large can of worms.

Let's suppose what you said is true, man and woman is simply a social construct that we made up. Well that, in turn, means gender doesn't really exist. If so, why do "transgendered" act like the opposing gender? They refute their fake "gender" just to take on a different fake gender? If man and woman doesn't exist, then how is it possible for someone such as Jenner to really identify as a woman? Woman doesn't exist. It's a paradox.
