Actually made the 30 at 13 years old. Apparently she was incredibly bright. You don't hear of kids skipping grades as often as you used to, and Northwest Rankin is an above average school.

“When we have understood free will, we shall see how silly it is to ask, as somebody once asked me, ‘Why did God make a creature of such rotten stuff that it went wrong?’ The better stuff a creature is made of—the cleverer and stronger and freer it is—then the better it will be if it goes right, but also the worse it will be if it goes wrong. A cow cannot be very good or very bad; a dog can be both better and worse; a child better and worse still; an ordinary man, still more so; a man of genius, still more so; a superhuman spirit best—or worst—of all.”

She was probably on more than just SSRIs. A lot of young kids (girls especially) are prescribed Adderall. It has become extremely common for teen-agers to be given, Adderall. Yes, their grades improve, but they become dependent upon it. They become hyper anxious and it leads to them being prescribed other drugs.

I'm thinking more like incredibly disturbed.

The guy I know from there makes me want to dispute this but, yes possibly compared to the area.

Tired of people always blaming mental illness. So overplayed

If you are mentally ill, isn't that worse?

I'm not sure why that's an excuse.

If you had your choice, who would you rather see walking the street:

A. Person who would kill your for your money?
B. Person who would kill you because they are batshit crazy?

I'm thinking I could deal with A.

Evil and tragic.

Curious, what does "Appearance" refer to on her mugshots? Is there some scale for that?

Borderline Personality Disorder is an absolute bitch to deal with and in this case was deadly for the mother.

BPD kids are almost always the result of abandonment as a child. From all I have been able to gather she grew up in a fairly loving home. I'm not sure where BPD would come from here.

Maybe early onset schizophrenia? It's a baffling case.

She won't be eligible for life without parole due to her age. But she'll be in prison for a long, long, long time.

There’s nothing gifted about being 14 in the 7th grade. Sounds like she got held back, not moved up.

She was in 10th grade at 14. She made the 30 on the ACT as a 7th grader. The comments on the article state that she had recently made a perfect SAT.

Not always the case with BPD but that is sometimes the cause of it. I have personally seen it multiple times where the child w/BPD came from a loving home.

Side note: BPD is so hard to treat and often times a therapist will actually refuse to take on a patient that has been diagnosed with it.

B. Easily. Because that happens far less frequently. A is a person who will do it multiple times and in a more organized, coordinated fashion.

This isn't about frequency. There are two people. Which would you rather be around?
