That person is just ignorant. Evolution is taught in all Catholic schools. Evolution is considered compatible with the faith by Catholicism, as an official position. It is certain protestant sects that do the whole creationism thing.

This person isn't Catholic BTW.

A Question For Those Who Attended Catholic School

Went to Madison Academy, a Christian school.

Evolution was taught, but from a different aspect as say a traditional school.

If you went to Catholic school, were you taught about evolution?

There is no reason catholicism and evolution can't coexist. It's one of Aquinas's proofs. God set the world in motion. Evolution is the how and not the why. Etc...

What do tadpoles turning into frogs have to do with evolution?

Girls don't understand science anyway. Might as well try to teach a monkey math while you're at it.

I went to a Nola area Catholic high school in the 80s and was taught evolution. Both of my children went to Catholic schools (08 and 2010) and we're taught evolution.

I was under the impression that only 'evangelical' Christian schools avoided evolution.

As opposed to a Catholic school or an Episcopalian school or a Lutheran school?

They're ALL Christian hoss.

Alabama-ism + Fundamentalism = Morans

The Füts all did Caflick education.

Darwin & Evolution were part of the curriculum for them all.

Catholic schools being full of pedo priests should be the main concern.

Catholic schools beingl full of pedo priests should be the main concern. Protestant schools aren’t the ones abusing little boys regardless of evolution being taught or not.

I went to 13 years of Catholic schools in the '70s and '80s and can assure you that evoloution was taught in every school that I attended. They never even hinted that evolution did not exist.

I am not sure why this person assumed Catholic schools didn't teach evolution.. This person is Baptist, not sure if that plays a factor into anything. I don't think he is a practicing Baptist, but he is a jackass.

Catholicism tends to be fairly progressive when it comes to education.
