Protestant schools aren’t the ones abusing little boys regardless of evolution being taught or not.

Want to provide a source that abuse has never taken place at a protestant school, and a person of protestant faith has never been a pedophile?

I was, yes. 14 years from K to graduating Highschool. The was from '85-99.

We did have Religion classes also. I remember something the teacher said after all these years.

'The Big Bang theory is true. That only proves God does exist. Because at one point, however small it was that caused the Big Bang, something had to have been created for that to have ever happened'

I've never forgotten it. And he is/was correct.

ETA: just to be clear, we were taught about evolution

Catholic schools beingl full of pedo priests should be the main concern. Protestant schools aren’t the ones abusing little boys regardless of evolution being taught or not.

That person is just ignorant. Evolution is taught in all Catholic schools. Evolution is considered compatible with the faith by Catholicism, as an official position. It is certain protestant sects that do the whole creationism thing.

This is correct. I was taught evolution in Catholic school. I was also taught that the Bible was not to be taken literally.

We were taught evolution. But the class and the textbooks were in Latin.

We were taught evolution in the mid 60s, we were never taught creationism except that God created our souls.

You must have some clout around here. I made a Priest/molestation joke in a Vatican thread and it was gone in about 10 seconds.

Yeah, and it wasn't remotely an issue.

I went to a public school that taught about religions in history classes. Learning about what people believed then and believe now is good. Being taught multiple theories about how the world came to be the way it is now is valuable.
I also took a middle eastern studies class after 9/11 that taught us more about Islam so we would be less likely to uncategorically hate anyone resembling a Muslim.

No, I wasn't taught evolution at OLL in Mandeville. From there I went to a public HS.

This one is actually a huge "what the frick".

From what I understand second hand from a professor at LSU, they kept getting sja girls in courses challenging evolution well into the 90's. No clue why as evolution wasn't challenged by the church in decades but diocese had to chastise the nuns a bit.

The way it was taught to me was that we did evolve through natural selection and that God willed it to be that way. Which is the way I think of it, still to this day.

12 years of Catholic School

We learned evolution in science class and we learned intelligent design in religion class.

Keep in mind... it's not the Catholics who start trouble with evolution. It's the bible/Baptist schools.

I'd venture to think kids in Catholic school learned more about evolution than kids in public schools. Especially kids in public schools in NO/BR.
