That's what I said. Either it was a mistake or her story is bullshite.
Then, by saying it twice, you were wrong twice. She was baited, then robbed.

Did the journalist check her story? I guess I didn't say it in that post but I also said if it was a mistake then why was it change to a zero tip. I shouldn't have said it was a mistake.

According to Instacart shoppers don’t see the tip until after delivery. So somebody is lying.

Semantics. Does the fact she’s an independent contractor really change anything?

Well, of course it was. No one would lie about that

Maybe the customer meant to put $5 and realized later when fishing the process after delivery. I don’t see how this is a story worth giving a shite ?
A $5 tip wouldn't be enough for someone to be willing to get the groceries.
Sadly, this is a common practice with instacart. Shoppers are lured in with big tips, that then disappear.
At the very least, shoppers should be able to alert other shoppers that a customer has removed their tip.

So her husband is a deadbeat? One of my good friends is in a wheelchair, he's got one good arm, he works 40-50 hours a week at a big box store.

I don't care enough about the story.
Why don't you contact them. You seem very passionate about this story.

You have questions that apparently only you care about. I provided you the avenue to answer them,. You're welcome.

Because a person of greater means is abusing someone just trying to get by during an international emergency. I imagine they highlighted this one story as it is happening with a growing frequency.

They should print the name of the customer who took away the tip.

Her LinkedIn page is full of jobs that only lasted 3 months.
I bet she knows exactly what happened to that gratuity.
I just looked up her LinkedIn profile out of curiosity.
It appears as though she graduated in December 2017. She's been working part time for Instacart for almost 4 years, and she's been taking temporary HR jobs to start her career.
Why the frick would you even attack her for this? She's taking the HR jobs she can get to gain some experience and she's working a side job to get by. frick, man, she's living the American dream.

Seems like a lot of people here try to go out of their way to look down on certain elements of the working class for some reason.

There's a special place in hell for this sort of garbage.
I like the tip-change feature. I have only used instacart once. The guy was awesome so I increased the tip post delivery. Makes sense to give some at the outset and increase for performance.

What are you trying to say here? The customer did change it after the delivery

To put the whole thing post delivery. Not encourage someone to do a delivery with an advertised tip that then gets taken away.
She only took the delivery because of the known 55 buck tip.
