Those things will help each other get inside the garbage can outside my house. I’ve even found dead raccoons in my garbage. Don’t know if they were too old or what. Just dumped them on the burn pile and they disappeared that night. Did not burn them.

About 10 years ago my dad was bush hogging several acres of land around his farm house. Fortunately for the baby racoon, he saw it before he ran over it. Couldn't have been older than a few days.

Pops took care of it for a few months then let it go. It didn't go for. LOL

Every day he would go outside to work in the barn or some other activity, the racoon would come out of hiding and follow him everywhere, along with the farm dogs. Would even hop on the tractor or the ATV with him to ride. It was hilarious. That racoon was a family fixture for about 5-6 years then one day it quit showing up. RIP buddy.

PS - it never attacked anyone either. Kids would come over all the time to ride horses, etc, and one of the favorite activities was petting the racoon.

This happens to domesticated men too

My older cousins used to bring me all kind of animals when I was young. Flying squirrels, one time they brought me a young alligator and put it in the bathtub and scared the shite out of my mom when she got home, went in the bathroom and saw it. One day they brought 2 baby coons. They kept them for about a year and they were great pets when they were young, but they started getting aggressive and just do a-hole shite that seemed like they did it just because. My aunt had a table behind her couch with some vase on it, it wasn't anything really expensive, but my cousin swore it knew what it was doing when it climbed off of him, when he was on the couch, got on the table, knocked the vase down, then looked down at it and went back to him.

Of course that was his story so it might have not even been the racoon, but he swore up and down that thing knew exactly what it was doing, They brought them to animal control a few days later.

Nasty animals. The raccoons in my yard eat the squirrels that I trap. They can reach into the trap and totally decapitate and devour them. Sometimes they may leave a portion of a leg but usually I just find some random squirrel fur left.

And here I am trying to figure out a way to get rid of the racoon that appeared scavenging my yard without running off the opossum

The ones on paris island weigh like 100 pounds. Fat fricks steal all the infused box chows they feed the recruits.

When I was a kid living on the Marine Base in Hawaii, one of my friends trapped a mongoose. He then rigged up some kind of long leash (the specifics escape me in my old age) and let it go to "walk it." It was pissed. Bit the kid, tried to bite us, and got loose with the string attached. It got out of the string as we found it on the ground.

My old Aussie would beat the shite out of raccoons. She could never kill one, but she kept them away from the house. I have some pictures of big male raccoons having on to the bricks with Layla below them. I used to worry about one letting go and landing on top of her. I saw one try it, she did a quick dodge and just waled on it.
