What if my employee is hot and I have her Snapchat, when I'm drunk can I still snap her a dick pic?

i don't get work emails on my phone, if its so important then call me, if its not important enough to warrant a phone call after hours, i can deal with it in the morning.

Company cant get any free work out of employees that way. It is very abusive.

That person shouldn't work harder than other people bc it's not fair that they have lives after hours.
I've been on both sides of this equation. Wanting everyone to settle for mediocrity is a childish attitude.
I worked in an environment where everyone agreed to "go with the flow." I got a less than stellar yearly raise as a result.
Asking others not to achieve what they're capable of to make your life easier is selfish as hell. I lost a full year of progress in my career by getting suckered into that mindset.
Screw anyone who whines about those who work harder.

make it illegal for businesses to require that employees check their email or other electronic communication during non-work hours.
Yeah until you get passed over for a promotion because you won’t check your email after hours.

How about we let employers and employees work this out
Ludicrous. The government knows best.

If an employer breaks the rule, they'd be fined $250 and required to pay an additional $500 to their employee.
If there’s a $100,000 deal on the line and the employee is an integral part of that, do they really think this is going to be a big deal to the employer?

On one hand I like it. On the other hand the government needs to stop trying to get involved in everything. It’s not their role.

I can now get rich working for myself!
Just send myself a few late emails and I’m finna get paid!

This is not at all practical for everyone like myself who work from home and don’t work 9-5 jobs. It doesn’t shut off, and if it did, then my competition will pick up the slack and I lose. I think the thing is to be respectful and limit all that stuff to really important emails and such. Like most things, it’s about balance.

I think France did this, and American progressives wish we were France without all the white men, so it will happen here.

Who's paying for the cell phone? Is it a company phone?
Posted on 4/1/18 at 8:01 am to RogerTheShrubber
Yes, I’m pretty sure this is a law in France.
My company would not be able to afford me because I send a pile of emails and make plenty calls after work hours. Never once have I heard a complaint because I have a team that cares on how we perform. Governments has no business in this area ( and many others.)

Welcome to my life as a union worker.
Got a " commitment to excellence" award at our quarterly huddle Friday and got mean mugged by 300 people, all thinking " kiss arse" or " suck up" for getting something I didn't even strive for.
My bad my boss knows I give a frick more than you scum.

Posted on 4/1/18 at 8:34 am to tylercsbn9
