If that person is getting the job done working 20 hrs while remaining available to work more if necessary, what’s it to you? Not their fault that management may not be efficiently using its workforce.

Not saying it doesn't happen or isn't expected generally for companies/bosses, but legally speaking it is already illegal for business to require hourly employees to do this, so I'm not sure what this bill changes.

Nothing, but it'll make a great talking point when they run for re-election.

At best, a few small business owners will face minor consequences for being terrible people to their (uncompensated) employees.

Otherwise... nothing.
