My trucker buddy says that is his favorite route to drive bc it's more big trucks than commuters.

I-70 between Indianapolis and Terre Haute can look like a continuous convoy at times, may be all of I-70 can be that way.

Except in very rural areas, all interstates should be at least 3 lianes.

US Interstate system is fantastic. It allows us to travel distances by car uninterrupted in ways that a lot of the world can't grasp until they are here.

But it'd sure be nice if there was a way to separate out the truck traffic and commuting traffic.

Stop living around country arse 4 lane interstates and move to civilized areas with at least 6 lanes.

This shite right here is infuriating. Truckers who do this should lose their license.

That's as much an epidemic as women drivers and democrats. Why do they insist on just cruising in the passing lane.

My dad was a truck driver, and years ago no one did that. Now, it seems to be the norm.

Fewer governed trucks at that time would be my guess. It's very obvious when a truck governed 1/2 MPH faster is trying to pass. They take forever to complete the maneuver.

That's what I do, but I'm old school.
We have a winner.
Reason professionalism isn't being taught in training is because the industry has devolved into rookies training rookies at places like CR England, Swift, Knight, Schneider, etc. Dudes that haven't even driven a winter or chained a tire are "trainers" now. The industry is a joke. Whole lot of ego on the highway now and very little courtesy, and that's not just regulated to truckers either.

The right lane is the new left lane.

That stretch of I40 between Memphis and Little Rock sucks arse. I hate driving it due to all the trucks. If I am not in a hurry I always take the old highway that parallels it. It’s so much easier, less stressful, and safer.

You aren't driving I-12 in Baton Rouge daily then. I guarantee on my drive to work this morning there will be at least one semi in the left lane. There will be plenty of room to get over in the center lane, but they simply won't so commuter traffic will have to pass them to the right.

The problem is sometimes not the truck driver. It’s often the slow mother fricker in the right lanes who is driving so slow that a mother fricking 18 wheeler feels the need to pass them in the left. Except for when it’s another truck driver. frick ‘em both.

Or the a-hole that is driving 55 then speeds up to 105 as you try to pass. And the slows back down immediately.

The most dangerous is when the 18 wheeler see’s you coming up in the left lane to pass and jumps into.the left lane at the last second….even though if they had just waited a couple of seconds you would be past. Assholes.

Should be against the law for any truck to ever be in the left lane. If your buddies in the other trucks are too slow, too bad. You will get there eventually and Gordon Mcckernan would have less work.

Ever notice how many of them pass you up like you are in reverse on the interstate, then slow down in front of you? They dont want to go faster than you, they just want to be in front of you.

Everything you’ve ever bought was brought to where you bought it by a . . . . .
