I remember there being backlash to the strokes track New York City Cops that was released a couple of months before 9/11. I think the actual us release had the track removed. It was released overseas first, and was scheduled to drop in the US late sept.

Are both pages of the list showing up? One of them isn't showing up for me.

ETA: Nevermind. Now it is.

"Break Stuff" was probably blasting at the recruiter's office anyway to get dudes fired up about enlisting.

Really trying to figure out the reasoning behind The Beatles songs. I guess "life goes on" from ob la di could be sensitive? Ticket to Ride could be too close of a reminder to riding a plane? A Day in the Life referring to "the news"?

Genuinely stumped on Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

ETA: "in the sky," duh. These are really a stretch

Intolerance by Tool is a very odd choice for that list.

I am failing to see the connection

Tell us you never understood their lyrics without saying you never understood their lyrics.

Banning Mother by Pink Floyd certainly doesn't help dispel the false flag accusations.

My favorite game of all time, metal gear solid 2, had to have its ending changed because originally Arsenal Gear was going to crash through the statue of liberty. 300 details were also hurrily removed like the clips of Arsenal crashing through the city and coming to a halt at Federal Hall and Solidus' body being draped in the American flag. Kojima almost stepped down from his role in concern over the sensitivity to the matter. I always found that wild. What timing.

More talent in Tom Morello's pinky nail than all of Limp Bizkit, be for real. They're Lynyrd Skynyrd for commies.

Be sure to get your government mandated Covid shot before going to their show to "Rage" against the machine.
