To these people I would say that gender identify or whatever false idol comes next will not fill the void in your life! You will find acceptance with the Lord! You are a child of God! Act like it!

You're not dealing with science, bro. You're contorting it to fit your fricked up, flawed logic. If you have a dick, you're a dude. Game over. Any bullshite "study" you can site that's states the opposite is just that. bullshite. You a nice day.
The truth is that you are ignorant of the science which shows that developments in the brain can disengage with developments in the genitals, and that an individual can develop a gender identity that is incongruent with their genitalia. Surely you agree that the brain and the genitals are completely separate organs that develop apart from each other, and agree in principle that the brain could develop in a way that would make the person identify as another gender? If you disagree, why?

Also, it's real nice how you preemptively denied that any scientific study that disagrees with your preconceived beliefs about gender identity are "bullshite". That makes your ignorance and denial of science all the more transparent.

(Vienna, 07-01-2015) Our sense of belonging to the male or female gender is an inherent component of the human identity perception. As a general rule, gender identity and physical sex coincide. If this is not the case, one refers to trans-identity or transsexuality. In a current study, brain researcher Georg S. Kranz of the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the MedUni Vienna was able to demonstrate that the very personal gender identity of every human being is reflected and verifiable in the cross-links between brain regions.

While the biological gender is usually manifested in the physical appearance, the individual gender identity is not immediately discernible and primarily established in the psyche of a human being. As the brain is responsible for our thoughts, feelings and actions, several research institutions worldwide are searching for the neural representation of gender identity.

In a study under the guidance of Rupert Lanzenberger (LINK of the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the MedUni Vienna published in the renowned magazine "Journal of Neuroscience" it was now possible to demonstrate neural correlates (analogies) of the identity perception in the network of the brain.

Trans-gender persons as well as female and male control subjects were examined by way of diffusion-based magnetic resonance tomography (MRT). The examination revealed significant differences in the microstructure of the brain connections between male and female control subjects. Transgender persons took up a middle position between both genders.

It was furthermore possible to detect a strong relationship between the microstructure connections among these networks and the testosterone level measured in the blood. Lanzenberger: "These results suggest that the gender identity is reflected in the structure of brain networks which form under the modulating influence of sex hormones in the course of the development of the nervous system."

Results revealed thicker cortices in MTF transsexuals, both within regions of the left hemisphere (i.e., frontal and orbito-frontal cortex, central sulcus, perisylvian regions, paracentral gyrus) and right hemisphere (i.e., pre-/post-central gyrus, parietal cortex, temporal cortex, precuneus, fusiform, lingual, and orbito-frontal gyrus). Conclusion: These findings provide further evidence that brain anatomy is associated with gender identity, where measures in MTF transsexuals appear to be shifted away from gender-congruent men.

Antonio Guillamon‘s team at the National University of Distance Education in Madrid, Spain, think they have found a better way to spot a transsexual brain. In a study due to be published next month, the team ran MRI scans on the brains of 18 female-to-male transsexual people who’d had no treatment and compared them with those of 24 males and 19 females.

They found significant differences between male and female brains in four regions of white matter – and the female-to-male transsexual people had white matter in these regions that resembled a male brain (Journal of Psychiatric Research, DOI: 10.1016/j.jpsychires.2010.05.006). “It’s the first time it has been shown that the brains of female-to-male transsexual people are masculinised,” Guillamon says.

Bottom line: biological sex and gender identification are most often aligned, but they are two distinct things and it is possible for them to develop such that a person's gender identity doesn't match their genitals

What do you want to bet nobody would say shite to her about it if she didn't bring it up first?

Ok. I'll amend my statement. If you have a dick you're a dude. If you have a dick and want to be a female you're mentally ill. Good talk.

Yes, even in New York. Yes, even among seemingly "progressive" people. And it stems from the fact that most people you meet simply do not know much about non-binary gender identities.

To the author of that article:

Maybe its because "most people" are confused by your fricked up actions. Why is it that everyone else has to conform to your ideas and you give zero thought to their thoughts, opinions, actions? There is normal and there is you, you freak.

there is a huge difference between who or what you "identify as" and what you are. You can feel like or identify as a woman, but if you have a dick, you're a man. feelings and identify are subjective, what tackle you carry is objective.

it's ok to live in a fantasy world, but you don't have the right to demand that everyone move there with you.

i identify as 6'2" studly rich man named Rock who's smart as Einstein and hung like a horse. by all objective standards, i'm an overweight broke-dick short man named pirate who is hung like Einstein and smart as a horse.

which is fine

I just don't understand why people get triggered if you call it what it is, and that is a defect/malfunction/illness of some kind

Uhm, I'm not sure many people deny this. We're aware that these peoples' brains have developed differently. We're saying no matter how fricked their brain is, it doesn't change what they are.
