let's be honest with ourselves here that little kid is massively to blame as well

Oh I agree and the kid was totally embarrassed. The dad was kinda pissed too (at his kid, not Bubba) but I wasn't going to throw the kid under the bus.

At the time he was trying to do the right thing and pick up his trash..he was maybe 9 or ten years old so I can see how in that moment the dilemma was simple.

Let my litter/trash roll in front of Bubba OR try and snag it before he swings.

Morale to the story here, Bubba is a bitch.

6 y.o. me saw Lee Majors (the 6 Million Dollar Man) at Dallas Love airport. My mom gave me a pen and one of those things you'd use to keep a balance of your checkbook so I could ask for an autograph. He told me something to the effect of "get the frick away from me, kid."

I met Sean William Scott of the set of Road Trip. He was the nicest guy. I was just some background stooge and he remembered my name and spent time talking to me.

I've had pretty good luck.

Faith Ford and Antonin Scalia (RIP) are just good people.

I worked at a hotel that had celebrity entertainers.
Buddy Hacket was dumb as a brick.
Met Sammy Davis Jr. once. He was an a-hole.
Met Joan Rivers and she was as nice as could be.
Same for Dwight Stephenson who I met at a Clinton fundraiser.

Was at a city dog park throwing a decoy in the water for our retriever.

Ryan Gosling waked over and very politely asked if he could throw the decoy a few times for the dog to fetch.

After a few minutes a guy with a big Steadicam appeared - it turned out they were planning locations for a movie.

Then some woman screamed, "My God, that's RYAN GOSLING!" and a crowd quickly formed and ran him off.

Glad I'm not famous.

I had some friends on a bachelor party out west a few years back, maybe around Lake Tahoe I think. Just some good ole Monroe dudes. They all go down to the hotel bar to celebrate and get hammered. Who is drinking solo at the bar? None other than Michael Jordan, by himself pounding high dollar tequila.

These baws struck up a conversation with MJ and he was as nice as he could be. He offered them to come join him, which they did. They ended up drinking and bullshitting with him for hours and then he picked up the tab at the end.

One guy almost nerded out and was gonna go upstairs to get his Air Jordans and ask for MJ to sign them, but they all shut him down and told him to STFU.

Not an a-hole, but a very intense "celebrity."

Day of my wedding we are all getting ready to leave the Watermark to go to the venue.

Some of my buddies were in the hotel bar drinking. They came over to me and said we have somebody that wants to meet you. They bring over Marcus Luttrell who's daughter apparently went to LSU and he was in town for her graduation.

He said they told me that you were getting married so I wanted to give you some advice. He said always listen to your wife she is your queen. I said something off hand like yea that can get tiresome with her (or something like that). He stares straight into my eyes (he's had my hand in his hand the whole time seemingly trying to break it) and says I am not fricking around don't you ever disrespect your wife. You treat her like a queen. That was it he walked off.

He stared into my soul the whole time. Like I said very intense guy. Thought it was somewhat cool to get "marital advice" from Marcus Luttrell on my wedding day.

Nicest: Corey Webster, our sons played travel ball together for 2 years and I never saw him get angry or uppity with anyone. He talked to any kid who came up to him and was a big supporter of all the kids on the team. We had and raffles and he made his kid sell tickets.

A lot of old time pro wrestlers. Michael PS Hayes, Junk Yard Dog, Chris Adams.... all nice guys. Big Poppa Pump was an arse.

Dalton Hilliard, Bobby Hebert both nice fellas

Local Celebrity: Frank Davis. He was a grade A Dick.

Most celebs/athletes I met were nice when traveling. Met quite a few older NFL guys, Bob Hope, Paul Finebaum, Boosie a couple of times, Buster Davis, Jacob Hester, etc... The only one that was a complete a-hole was Buster Davis. He had just turned pro and I sat next to him on the plane and he gave anyone on the plane the cold shoulder when they congratulated him.

Also, Phil Fulmer was pissed I tigerbaited him once on a flight to Knoxville. I thought those guys flew private. James Franklin was a smug POS when he was coach at Vandy. I told him I was an LSU fan but liked what he was doing at Vandy. I was wearing a Saints sweat shirt, he responds "you should come to Nashville and check out the real black & gold"

My two best experience's were Ashley Earhart and Sean Penn. I spoke with Both of them nearly the entire flights. Boosie was cool AF too, but he smelled the sticky icky - it rolled off him as soon as he boarded.

ETA: I forgot a drunk Joe Namath tried to hook up with an English co-worker of mine at the Sky Club at the airport. She had no idea of who he was and she said, "that old gentleman tried to pick me up." We looked back and recognized him and told her who he was and she was completely unimpressed.

Had a long conversation with Charlie Day and his wife at the carousel bar in the Monteleone years ago. Both seemed really cool. They were in town because they were visiting her parents in Mississippi for the holidays.
