Guy was walking his golden retriever. As we passed, the dog sat on my foot and looked up at me for a head pat. As soon as my hand touched his head, he had rolled over for a belly rub. I feel tricked

Lemme guess... you live in Mandeville and the dog’s favorite massage joint just got shut down.

At least it wasn’t the breed of peace and instead got your face bitten off

Agreed, best dog breed. Put ours down last August. He was 3 months shy of 15 years old. Kids want another dog in a bad way. I'm currently enjoying not cleaning up dog hair.

Parents had a pup right before I was born and we had that golden retriever until I was 16 years old. That dog saved my life when I was 7 years old I was walking through the woods by myself and almost stepped on a huge rattlesnake I remember last second seeing it rear it’s head up about to strike me inches away and I saw a flash of gold fur and that dog came out nowhere and snatched the snake up and killed it.

I cried hard the day we had to put her down. I’ve never been one to cry over a pet but I did over her

It’s a friendly dog. Rub his damn belly. It’s good for the soul.

Condolences - I know how much it sucks. We lost our guy last August as well. He was 15 1/2. We held about as long as we could…picked up a Golden pup this past Saturday.
