A GA man went to a Walmart to buy Tylenol. He was later charged with attempted kidnapping

Mahendra Patel was looking for Tylenol in a Georgia Walmart two months ago when he encountered a woman with two children – riding a motorized cart she was driving – and asked her for help to find the medication, his lawyer says.
What happened next, the woman would allege, was that Patel grabbed her 2-year-old son from her, and she pulled the child back. A grand jury would later indict Patel on charges including attempted kidnapping – accusations for which he’s been jailed in Georgia’s Cobb County without bond for more than 40 days.
But Patel has a different explanation, which his lawyer says is backed by surveillance video: He was just trying to make sure the boy didn’t fall from the scooter, which the lawyer claims had just clipped a store display.

Yeah, I saw the video and his explanation is BS. Go and find a store worker if you can't find the Tylenol. Why are you asking for help from a lady in a motorized scooter with a small child who does not work at the store?

Seems like if you were a Patel, you’d be smart enough to not shop at any typical Walmarts in Georgia.

Who cant find Tylenol?

I mean the lady doesn’t seem convincing either. If the dude wanted the kid he could have easily had them. What fight is wheelchair chick legitimately going to put up?
Weird situation all the way around. I’m inclined to believe the man here.

Exactly. And if you can't find Tylenol who would ask for help from someone riding a motorized scooter with 2 kids that does not work at the store

Good point but to be fair we all know how good the typical Walmart employee is at their job. And the store looked pretty dead.

What does that have to do with whether someone is innocent of attempted kidnapping or not?

Guilty as soon as he asked a random scooter woman where the Tylenol was.

I just watched the video again. He definitely looks like he leans in and grabs the kid. He admits he grabbed the kid in the police report. I don't buy the kid was falling nonsense. Predators look for perceived weak prey (lady in motorized scooter) he sought her out for some BS (can't find Tylenol) and made his move. Guilty, Hang Him

But why give the kid back if that’s what he wanted? That doesn’t make sense either. Like you said, he would have picked easy prey. what legitimately could she have done to stop him? It doesn’t look like there was even a struggle for the kid.

Correct. It's obvious to see a Predator was looking for his weak prey. The problem for him was the lady was not disabled riding in the motorized scooter like he thought she was. She was just using the scooter because the kids enjoyed it. He was not expecting her to have enough strength to grab the kid back

He didn't...she grabbed the kid back and he was not expecting that. The lady was not disabled she said she only uses the scooter because the kids like to ride in it. The perp thought she was disabled and was not going to be able to fight back

Good points. Like I said the whole things weird. It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Only a dipshit would watch the video and believe it's an attempted kidnapping

Kidnapping??? Laughable

The lady made similar accusations about a year ago against Lyft. Dumb bitch ran over her kid in the scooter a few minutes before this interaction. A white guy helped that time. They also had an interaction after he found the Tylenol and she wasn’t screaming he tried to kidnap my kid then. I between the two interactions she was talking and laughing with other customers in the store. Also the lady clearly had mental problems if you’ve seen any video of her speaking.
Dude is being railroaded. And dude is still in jail yet we have a murder like Karmelo Anthony free on the streets? Ridiculous.
