Mine has been stuck by my side for 12 years, every time I leave the house he has to go.

Sits on the center console in my truck and will ride all day.

Sleeps with me, rides in the boat fishing, the cart golfing it's ridiculous but we both enjoy it.

He's headed down hill and it's hard to watch, I know his time is limited at 12 and it's going to be tough when he goes.

Yup. It's embarrassing to see someone treat their dog like a person.

For the dogs sake he probably shouldn't get one. If he truly feels that way he's not worthy of having a dog.

I’ve already had one, and no you don’t have to be a psychopath to greatly dislike them. They’re quite needy and annoying at times. My original post was in jest by the way. I don’t actually want them exterminated.

They often require as much care as a child, but they’re not nearly as rewarding as a child.

This thread is a great example of how people in modern society have gotten their priorities so arse backwards. If you know anything about your Catholic or Christian faith, you should understand that human beings are inherently more valuable than dogs or any other animal. We are people. Dogs are not.

If you don’t think people are inherently more valuable than dogs, you’re the kind of sick person who can torture, imprison, and kill people in camps like the Nazis and Soviets did during the 20th century. Better watch out or it might happen to you one day at the hands of someone who thinks likewise and values dogs over people.

I am a human being. I am inherently more valuable than any dog. So are you and every other poster on here.

Dogs are subservient creatures to human being.

The Bible says that God created animals, and that humans should treat them with care and respect.

I love animals and personally would take a 4-legged friend any day over some of the 2-legged "animals" that walk this earth today.

more valuable to who/what? Homo sapiens is an animal just like every other animal. What value to the universe does a human provide that a dog does not?

If you really believe this then you’re lost, and it won’t be productive in any way to discuss this with you. Goodbye

That doesn't mean what you're implying it means.

Yes, but the Bible also makes it quite clear that humans are his final and greatest creation and the only one made in His image and likeness.

God also makes it clear that we have dominion over all of them.

One of the strangest things about the Bible to me is that other than some generic references to working breeds, the Bible never says anything positive about dogs.

Weird, because I would also never torture a dog.

You have anything you need help working through, mate?

Just lost mine yesterday - had to put her to sleep very unexpectedly due to a mass that reached its breaking point leading to pain and internal blood loss.

Our house is so quiet and I miss her so much.
