so she punched an employee and started pressing buttons

quote:

A 23-year-old Disney worker offered to help them with the FastPasses, but the group only became more angry. On her podium phone, the worker called for a supervisor to request security. That’s when the Chicago woman “began pushing buttons on her ride podium,” the report said. The Disney worker asked the Chicago woman to stop and when she was ignored, she pushed the tourist’s hand away from the buttons. She got a punch in the face, the report said. The scene kept escalating. “The family continued to yell profanities and record her with their phones," the report said.

The 23-year-old woman wasn’t charged -- the Disney worker didn’t want to press charges,

well, that should keep her from doing it again.

why is it up to the worker and not Disney?

I'm glad we got my kids' Disney trip out of the way a few years ago.

If she died they would have filed charges. It should be up to the law and what witnesses saw.

Did the Chicago POS falsely claim that someone said "go back to where you came from" yet?

Would it surprise anyone at all if Disney urged the employee not to press charges, apologized to the aggressor, and allowed them to continue their vacation? Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

since it's just assault/battery, it would be on her to call the cops if she wanted to pursue it, Disney and/or witnesses don't gaf

I remember from an episode of "Cops" that if it was a domestic assault, the victim didn't have a choice in the matter. If there was credible reason to believe that an assault took place, the attacker was automatically being arrested even if the victim did not want to press charges. You could make a case for requiring it to be the same in situations like this?
