Don't sleep through the alarm clock in Guatemala.

Maybe she is dead, just a zombie now, out for some fresh brains to eat.

Imagine how many people die buried alive there.
I've never been around a more superstitious people. Hell, the first lady of Nicaragua is a goddamn witch and held Santeria rituals on state TV every Friday.

For 20 pesos, tourists can lay in the miracle casket while Holy Father Gustavo Rodriguez farts in your face

She's lucky they didn't send her to Orozco the Embalmer.

What kind of resale value does a used coffin have, especially one in which the "dead" came back to life?
Probably a lot since it has the ability to bring folks back from the dead

She didn't appear Jewish to me but what do I know.

I’m 61 and I don’t believe it but I think someone needs to keep an eye on dad.

They bury very fast over there. They don’t inject dead people with the embalming fluids like we do. Because of that type of culture, they have caskets and stuff readily available at a moments notice. You don’t want to keep someone above the ground after 24 hours, without having any kind of injection, and preservation of the body. It’s not pretty.

I would buy the hell out of it.

All true, but anyone that's been around a body knows it starts bloating and smelling pretty fast after death.

The term you are looking for is that she "wakes" up.

This seems ... improbable

That’s a good point. She’s one of the undead now. Probably. Most likely. They had better be real careful out there.

A funeral with casket 8 hours after someone faints. I'm not from Guatemala or know how they roll over there, but this seems a little BS.
Only the rich can afford to be embalmed south of the border. They tend to throw the poors in the ground pretty fast. I'd even be willing to bet the state medical examiner didn't even look at her body before signing the death certificate.

So you're not traveling anytime soon to see and, if you are so lucky, touch the casket?

I don't know why I am still shocked when I learn that there is someone out there who actually believed this crap. I know the amount of stupidity in the world, I see it on a daily basis. Yet somehow I'm still surprised by this. Maybe deep down I still have some type of subconscious hope that the world is not this stupid, even though I truly know that it is. I guess what I'm actually shocked at is that these people somehow survive to adulthood.
