I don't watch much tennis but I'd watch a Djokovic vs Serena match if it happened today.

Would she even return a serve if he didn't want her to?

That ESPN commercial with all the female athletes trying really hard to sound bad arse is so annoying. "Genders don't play sports, athletes do." **drops mic and walks away**
Don't mean I can't enjoy

The best part were the commenters on Facebook. The women and SJW's just could not believe that McEnroe had the gall to say that Serena can't compete with men. NPR designed that interview question to get the shock headline. McEnroe talked about how much in high regard he holds Serena, but they bait him into saying she wouldn't beat a male player, then make a headline out of it and everybody got their feelings hurt.

I believe it's pretty high praise to say that she could beat every man in the world except the top 700.

I don't see how this is a much different scenario than when Annika Sorenstam tried to play on the PGA tour

I just read up on the "Battle of the Sexes" from the 70s that all the feminists point to.
Riggs was retired from tennis for over 22 years when he beat Margaret Court, who was No. 1 in women's tennis at the time.
When Billie Jean King beat him, she was 26 years younger and he was out of shape. He played so poorly that many thought he threw it because he had bet against himself.

Riggs also played the doubles court while King played the singles court.

I take it you don't support LSU men's basketball since they'd get dominated in the NBA. You know, vs. male pros.

I remember 1992 when Connors beat Navratilova 7-5, 6-2 and it didn't really look that competitive.
Of course Connors had bet a cool million on himself so he had some motivation.

Katie ledecky does crack the top 100 men... so there's that. She's pretty much the only one I know of who can say that.

i think she could beat some men, because she is built like a man, and more muscular than many of the men in tennis.

Well how are they going to like it when transgender men are playing in girls sports and beating their behinds in the ground? Already happening in Connecticut in high school girls track

Let's revisit this. This may be my own personal opinion, but I wouldn't be shocked if the GS Warriors and the Cavs would beat LSU pretty comprehensively. Like around 150-40 if not worse. I'm a Tiger fan and all but let's be real.
That's the level of competition we're talking about when one trash talks top female athletes.
But I bet you buy tickets to watch the Tigers play right?

The salient question is: should male #700 in the world self-identify as female; would "it" be allowed to beat Serena??
