The mob should be thriving right now. Businesses would probably glad to pay for protection. Neighborhoods would love it if they could trust that things like this would not happen without severe repercussions. Rudy even has to be wondering about the decision to take down the mob.

I brought this up in another thread. Wasn't there an area in Texas during the "Summer of Love" that was "owned" by someone there with authority separate from the local government and people didn't bother starting shite there?
