I know it's important to remember what happened that day, but no way I'm listening to that.

Powerful stuff. YouTube should have a mandatory 30 second pause/silence after the video ends.

There is a serious conversation to be had here, but this is probably a pretty terrible thread to try and have it in

Have heard the recording previously, it's brutal.

3000 people dying is terrible but it’s such a large number to wrap your head around. It’s the human aspect like this call that really makes it more real. It pisses me off like it did that day.

You sound angry. How is us being in Afghanistan right now achieving your objective?

The Boston bombers were not from Afghanistan and had no known affiliation with the Taliban. In fact, the bombers explicitly said they acted as retribution for US presence in Afghanistan but otherwise had no connections there.

And 9/11 happened seventeen years ago. Lots of months have gone by since then.

So please tell us why we are in Afghanistan today?

Thank you for posting this. I think a lot of us tend to glaze the event with the passing of time. We shouldn't.

I didn’t start this thread to argue about if we should be in Middle East or not. This was about showing the human aspects of the attack that really drive home the terror of that day.
