I know you said there was a Time article about the possibility of this, but was this kind of attack never thought of/taken seriously by the govt?
Unfortunately for us, those bastards’ plan was genius, but not overly complicated. Seems like the intelligence community, even without a credible threat at the time, should have considered this a possibility

I can't imagine being the 911 operator on that day. Basically knowing whoever you talk to is going to die and you just have to talk them through it. shite.

I'm watching 102 minutes that changed America on history channel right now. I think I've kept myself from watching raw footage like this until now. It's dizzying surreal to watch. Just absolutely unfathomable that such an attack happened. fricking sickening, and heartbreaking.

The documentary by the two French brothers is the greatest 9/11 documentary. I saw it the first time it aired on the 1st anniversary.
I cannot imagine what all those firefighters were going through.
