Good find, a Credit Union out of New York. Not sure where the poster was shopping, but I'd have to see what lender that does business in Louisiana offers those terms. The most I've seen is 84.
Man, those goalposts sure move fast.

This is why car and truck prices continue to rise. No one cares what the total cost is, just the monthly payment.

Well some of us do, but you are right, not many. It's why they are making so much money on trucks and SUV's, they can keep the entire companies afloat.

I think this would work on a land Cruiser and not much else in terms of value over time.

People do a 10 year loan on a boat! That's just as dumb!

I never go more then 5 years . If I can’t afford payments on a 5 year plan then I don’t need it . A lot of people are stupid when it comes to car loans .

Idk what’s worse. The 9 years or that he’s still pays my $600/month? For fricks sake a 9 year auto loan should be like $12/month.

9 years? Never heard of it before. But damn.... people are fricking stupid. Instead of buying the $30,000 vehicle they can afford they have to try to keep up with thw Joneses.

I’d rather a 9 year auto loan than the 50 year mortgage they are doing in Cali and NYC.
Both seem bonkers to me though

You probably shouldn’t be buying anything that costs $30k+ without making six figures.
Seriously. Plenty really nice vehicles for less than $35k. Big culprit is the soccer moms who think they’ll somehow be cool if they drive a loaded out Tahoe instead of the minivan they really need.

I’m less upset with that than I am that a modest truck costs $55,000.
Only trucks have gone up like this. A Honda Accord is still basically in line with what it was 10-15 years ago.
Ford averages 10k in profit per F150. Being an average, you can assume it's much higher on the King Ranch/Platinum types.
Chevy averages 17k.
They just keep trying to find the ceiling on people's stupidity. They haven't found it yet.

I actually car shopped today, bought a 2007 Lexus GX470 with 100K on it for 13K. I fully expect to get another 150k out of it before major repairs are due, and fully expect to get at least 8K anytime I decide to sell it after those added miles. I'm OT big time, right?

Anybody who does that ignorant shite’s obviously got more money than sense.

Bass Pro Shops has 156 month financing on Bass Trackers.
That's 13 years.
That's ridiculary.

My damn brother is a car salesman. Makes 150k+ a year selling Kia's.
I make 40k.
He borrowed 800 bucks from me a month ago. Did pay me back already. Now he wants me to co-sign for him to finance a 10k crotch rocket. I told him no.
He makes 150k and cant finance 10k.
I make 40k and have a 792 credit score.
Some people just don't get it.
