This surprises me too. Earlier this month it was announced that Jesuit had 43 National Merit Semi-finalists. Uh, 43! The Blue Ribbon award is for overall academic performance. How can Jesuit not be one of the best schools in the state?
P. S. I've got no dog in this fight. I'm not Catholic, don't know anyone who attended Jesuit, and live nowhere near New Orleans.

It's true. Sophomore year especially was a funking grind.
