Should have gotten pulled pork.

Their chicken salad isn’t that great, either. Beaver nuggets, on the other hand

The fudge is pretty good, too

I paid $5.99 for a brisket taco at the Athens, AL Buc-ees for lunch today, and it was worth every penny. It was more like a burrito, but it was stuffed with chopped brisket, and there were no chunks of fat in it. It cost about the same as a fast-food burger, but it was far better. Fair price for a tasty lunch.

Chick Fil A Grilled Chicken Club costs the same.
What do you consider a value?

Went by to check out the hype that buc-ees has gotten on this board and I had sticker shock at the $8.50 chopped brisket sandwich. I bought one anyway just to try it, and it was okay. Just okay. Maybe worth about half of that price.

I don't get what all the hype is about. Now I will go there if they have the cheapest price on fuel, but beyond that, I am at a bit of a loss as to why it is so beloved.

Welcome to Texas. The new California. $$$$$
And, people here love it because it's a Texas company (Texas A&M graduate started the company) so there is loyalty.

I like Buc-ee's, because it provides me a way to not buy gas from a towel-head.

Not a fan of the brisket or the nuggets but I can get cheese cubes and pretzels which is also better than fast food.

It sure isn’t just the Buc-ees sandwich that is overpriced fast food type of sandwiches these days.

I am going to have to try the brisket taco, I would probably like it better.

Secret Baldwin County fact: they have best ice prices in county and unless it changed recently they have best 5 pound whole squid boxes in Southern Bama, both price and quality. I know a ton of charter boats that buy their squid for snapper fishing there

Even more mind blowing that people on road trips burn an hour on a pit stop just to say they went there

I rarely get because the kolaches and breakfast tacos are so good but the sausage biscuit there is better than any fast food chain.
