It isn't a guarantee, of course, but there is a pretty strong correlation. Sure, there are people with 90 IQs that passed law school (though maybe not the bar), and some electricians and bartenders with IQs in the 130s.

I've got an 80 IQ but I squeeze every bit of frickin' mileage out of those 80 points. I leave nothing on the table.

This. My Uncle I would bet is near the 140 range, did not graduate middle school. He just sees the World differently, and he can do insane things despite little formal education.
He is quite well off from buying, rebuilding and reselling vehicles, mowers, etc for the last 30 years. He can break apart anything and do whatever he wants with it, and it is amazing to watch his mind at work.
IQ is not based on how much you learn in school. Though a higher IQ does greatly help you through school.

I’ve met plenty of accountants. Hard work. Determination. Those are the words I’d use for most. I’ve rarely encountered one that I thought was bright.
What I was driving at is that you don’t need to be 120 to be an accountant. Just like you don’t to be an engineer.
Edit: Jake88 state’s what I was driving at with a good example.
