Just saw the video. That woman is kind of a piece of shite.

And this thread title is clickbait and disingenuous. “Beaten by police?” Hilarious.

She asks if anybody will film this and the cop says “I’m filming it.”

That should be the most obvious reaction at this point.

Was she required to wear a mask to deposit her money?

If she deposited that money in the last year, then probably so.

She was following state law

No she was not.

All businesses are allowed to still require masks for entry. She chose not to wear one, and found out what happens when you don’t follow the rules.

An example of what I'm getting at is that if H-E-B wants to build a grocery store at the corner of Fry and Grand Parkway, then there will be agreement that so many parking spaces will be provided. This accounts for traffic concerns.

If thus, should H-E-B be allowed to unilaterally mandate that only electric cars can park in their parking spaces?

If they own the parking lot they can require you to pay to park there if they wanted to.

I simply don't think you recognize how game changing and insidious this reality has been.

People now accept that restrictions like what we went through can be imposed whenever they're "needed"

I get the boiling frog sliding down the slippery slope but as important as where to stop is the discussion of where to start.

When I am on an empty freeway with a 75 mph speed limit in a car that can go well in excess of 200 mph why should some entity be able to prevent me from doing so.

The state shouldn't.

But this is an entirely different discussion

No. It’s not.

She knew exactly what she was doing and got her desired outcome.

Right but if they just served the topless barefoot granny she wouldn’t have even been there as long so really they are just tyrants

Masks are gay.
But, if you refuse to leave, that's trespassing.

I just find it ironic that banks are mandating people who enter wear masks.

Telling another adult to wear a mask is so stupid and pathetic.

Right. Because we’re talking about a costume party

Bank has every right to mandate masks. Maybe. Just maybe they follow the CDC recommendations. And, maybe you are a school teacher and not a scientist nor a physician. Know your role.

Don't disagree provided it's consistent with what it was zoned for. Else, they cannot.

Can the bank, since it's a "business," 100% deny its depositors access to their accounts? Hey, it's a business. Can do whatever they want?

Haha!

What worldview are these scientists and physicians working from?

There’s a drive thru and online banking.

But yes, the bank can absolutely not allow someone in their lobby.

That's skirting the issue of how much latitude a business has when it is zoned. In my example, can the grocery store morph into skyscraper apartments on the same site? Can it become a refinery?

Can all the services a bank offers be executed via online? Drive thru?

Everyone has to have a computer and a DL to open an account?
