Sorry if Germans

Video inside

quote:

The wrath of the Internet came down on a tiny private Christian school in central Florida this week, over video of a 6-year-old being turned away on the first day of school because he has dreadlocks.

Got a "scholarship" and pulled the kid from getting a decent education because of his hair... Priorities man!!!!

quote:

So they got a scholarship through a state program to help with the tuition, and enrolled him in Book Christian: 48 students, about half a dozen teachers - counting the piano teacher and Sue Book.

It's a private school. They can make their own rules. Boys couldn't have hair past their collar at the one I went to.

"We just want to be treated like everyone else!"

"Hey! Why won't you give us special treatment?!"

At Brother Martin we got handed razors just for having sideburns too long. I can’t inagine what they would have done if someone had shown up in dreads

Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

quote:

Book said the family was given a copy of the parent handbook when they enrolled, which spells out as plain as day: "All boys hair must be a tapered cut, off the collar and ears. There are to be no dreads, Mohawks, designs, unnatural color, or unnatural designs."

Sorry folks. It’s a private school with their own rules. And yes, those rules also apply to you and your 6 ur old boy’s hair if you want to attend.

There was not an iota of racism involved until his parents said race was the cause of it all.

Not sure why he has a problem with rules. I know when we first enrolled our kiddo in private school, we went through the handbook and made sure everything was within compliance.

No, but that won't stop the national media from making this a "we've got so far to go in this country" story

I have zero sympathy for her and her son or the white kids with long hair that get their heads shaved by the headmaster because they think they are above the rules.
