I actually have a great deal of empathy for non-thug black folks. shite like this has got to be demoralizing. There does not seem to be a light at the end of this tunnel if indeed the children are their future

I disagree about light at the end of the tunnel, though.
My solution- and a government one at that- is to eliminate racial categories in everything. The focus on race is unavoidable when every form you fill out wants to know what color you are... it trickles down from there. A permanent us v them v the others class war.
It shouldn't matter what percentage of the American Citizen Population is this color or that color.
It can be done. Ban the box. Eliminate racial distinctions, eliminate their ability to be used for division and discrimination.
The **only** exception should be in medicine where race, ethnicity, sex, age, etc can be useful diagnostic criterion.

The actual Africans that live in the suburbs in expensive houses won't settle for their kids not becoming accountants, and want nothing to do with their "relatives" from places like Alief, South Houston, etc.

I have a really good friend (black guy,) that dragged himself up out of poverty, has had a really good career but a lot of his black friends used to constantly be on him for acting too white, his kids used to get beaten up on the playground for the same, pathetic

At a much slower pace... and as a people group such behaviors do not delight nor inspire the rest of the group.
