Low hanging fruit and nothing will happen to these people. It's theatre to make people think that they are doing something.
The LA legislature passed a law in June of 2024 that states that people registering have to provide proof of citizenship. This law is still not being enforced.
So, who should really go to jail?

Seems like the existing laws are working as intended. Break the law, get punished
