I don't see a bike anywhere?

Damn I was an a-hole to a lot of cyclists over the years.
Don't care. In PA there were lots of cycling trails along creeks. Nice paced roads yet they chose to ride on the country road I took daily where there was lots of oilfield traffic. 18 wheelers and water trucks. Suprised one hasn't been hit yet

Lots of things bikers do are are legal. Doesnt mean its smart or safe considering the dumbasses on Louisiana roads.

Those are all known...except the straight in the right turn. Makes sense though.
But how does this thread help cyclist--vehicle relations?

I hope you get hit by a car.

I ride. Just because you're legal, doesn't mean you aren't being an a-hole. 2 guys riding side by side in an area with traffic is a shitty thing to do. And I see it often. Get in single file until you're out of traffic.

There are bike and walking trails everywhere where I live. I have people ask me all the time why I don't just ride on those trails. I don't think people realize just how fast some people are going on a bike. I routinely hit 26-28 mph on parts of my ride. Doing that on a 4' wide walking path with other people around would be dangerous. A guy I work with was talking about how he rides those trails and almost smoked a lady and flipped over a guard rail. I had to hold back from telling him that was stupid to ever be riding their in the first place. That's for slow easy rides, not what a lot of "road" cyclists are doing.

How about the dipshits riding on river road with no shoulder when there is a nice wide bke path at the top of the levee?

But doing it on a road with no shoulder and lots of traffic is not safe. My point. I was way out in the country and they could have used the 100 other roads that went off this one. But instead someone comes around a turn at 45 mph (speed limit) and there is oncoming traffic and a cyclist goin 5 mph up a steep hill. I wouldn't cycle there. Seems like a death wish.

Sort of what happened on 73 in PVille right before Christmas. After work traffic, dark, no shoulder.

I lived in Lake Beau Pre. I hated those cyclists that would ride by campus. I've been hit by a car (not on a bike) and am very cautious about where I ride. I will not ride where it's busy at all. That said, I think people very much underestimate what a cyclist is actually riding. That levee isn't paved very far. It's a gravel road outside of a few miles. Road bikes can't ride on that. And when a short ride is 25+ miles, that just doesn't do. I would ride on River Road south of campus, but stay far away from Brightside and North. I find people in BR to be very anti-bike. There are A LOT more cyclists where I am in North Houston and A LOT more cars and I don't see quite as much "pissy-ness" about it all.
This is how I think. I usually will drive a road and estimate if it would be "safe". There are some well known cycling country roads around me that are 65 mph. F that. But, there are still tons of drivers that no matter what, will be pissed to share a road with a cyclist. I've been honked at a handful of times when there was more than enough room to go around me and 0 cars in sight. Drivers be mad.

Oh I didn't see 'blast thru red lights and stop signs' on that list
Could've sworn that was a law since I see all of them do it

Aren't there weird rules that vary state by state with filming and consent in regards to YouTube videos?
Posted on 2/3/16 at 7:29 am to Casty McBoozer
And here are a few that are questionable, numbered for effect but truly in no particular weighted order:
1. Ride against oncoming traffic.
2. Ride on the sidewalk.
3. Run stop signs and red lights.
4. Don't yield to passing traffic.
5. Cut in line at a stop.
6. Don't use proper nighttime illumination.
7. Generally act holier than thou.
Otherwise, I don't mind them.
