Was it a no-knock warrant?

If it's a no-knock I could give two shits. That's what you get for busting into somebody's house unannounced.

Gun violence directed at officers is down? What empirical data do you have proving this? It’s astronomically higher, by orders of magnitude, since President Obama pretended to unite the country, but only provided the initial fuel for a race war or pretend justified war against cops.

I think he was referring to gun violence in general is down, not that against police officers.

Don't know the statistics involving police officers, seems like there has been quite a bit of those over these last 5 years.

Dumbass.

The reason they do no-knock warrants is to avoid situations like this.

1974 was one single year. Officers "killed in the line of duty" decreased from that point. Big scrub acts like we live in a time where police are far less scrutinized. That's his stupid fricking agenda anyway.

Deaths vs. Shootings. Yeah, I am the idiot. The two stats are just 110 percent connected. P

Correct. I have no clue about the numbers involving police officers.

Cops are targeted far more. Far more in 2019 than 1974. Tell me and find me the stories of the Dallas/Baton Rouge/Houston/Denver scenarios of the past 2 years. No way I believe your fake graph news.

Dude, no they're not.

You're really showing your age here. There was a shite ton of cops targeted all the time back in the 70s. The Black Panthers made BLM look like Bingo night at the old folks home.

Do you know how bad crime was across the country in the 70s? I wasn't around during that time, but between the mid 60s - the early 90s crime was much worse than it is today. Much worse.

Today, you just hear about it more. As soon as something happens it's on social media and then major media outlets pick it up.. and it is in our face all the time.

Get the frick out of here. How did he initial fuel for a race war? Because a lot of racist people didn't like having a black president?

From the Chronicle article...

"The incident occurred after the officers -- from the Narcotics Division -- were serving a warrant, sources said."

3 officers are in stable condition. 2 in critical. 2 suspects dead.

I know why they think it's a good thing but I'm saying it's a bad thing. You have no defense when you break into somebody's house and they shoot your arse. They may not recognize right away that you're a cop. Especially if you're talking about somebody who deals with a lot of criminals like a drug dealer. They get robbed all the time so they're expecting somebody to break through their door.

To me it just reeks of impatience. Why don't you just case the house and when they inevitably get in their vehicle and takeoff, surround them before they even get out of their driveway.

Does anybody ever think about that? Of course they thought about it. But law enforcement lives for the thrill. That's a lot more fun to break into somebody's house jacked up like Special Forces in Fallujah than to do a routine traffic stop.

With all due respect, which is what anyone should give to a CNN reporter like you, he was directly referring to a question about violence against officers (or cops).

Yeah. That what saved all those cops lives when they arrested Roger Stone.
