You were so, so close on this. However, in the end, you're wrong. Parents, all of them, should send their children to school without masks. Period.

Is the lab school a private school? If so, follow the rules or leave. It's not being a hero making your 4th grader get suspended. Kids shouldn't fight the battle for adults. The adult should have fought the battle by not sending his kid to school.

Shut up George.

It will teach him more than that. There’s nuance to teaching kids right and wrong and logical thinking.

Or, you can go through life and never challenge authority because, you know, rules and all.

Play by the rules…..that is what “The greatest generation” and “baby boomers did” and our Country was much better then.

More like good teaching the kid the difference between rules that actual serve a purpose versus rules that are completely pointless, not based on any fact, and only serve to make bed wetters feel better about themselves.

I'll let you figure out which one mask mandates fall under.

Does lying about your age so you could serve in the military count as "playing by the rules"?

When there were rules in the 50’s about different races drinking out of different water fountains, would you have said the same thing?

I know it’s an extreme example, but my point is that sometimes rules are really fricking dumb. A little bit of critical thinking goes a long way

Following stupid and illogical rules is how you breed more government lemmings. It's like you forgot exactly how we got to this point of liberal stupidity.

"just do what you're told"
"Just wear ya mask"
"Just get ya shot"
"Phase ta two"

All rules are not created equal. Especially these stupid mask mandates that accomplish nothing except stunting the social development of children. The administration has zero teeth if the parents refuse to comply.

So, it is OK for a parent to teach his 4th grader that he should not follow the rules that his dad does not like? Good parenting lesson. The dad should have had the balls to go to the administration instead of using his 4th grader as his stooge.

Yes. The parent supersedes the authority of the school.

You mean, listen to your parents, and not the lowest denominator that teaches your children in regards to a nonsensical mandate? Absolutely.

Maybe he has. Maybe do both. As a parent, we've gone to the administration multiple times over mask mandates, and while they have stopped them for now, if they try it again, we are not putting a mask back on him.

You realize you are essentially a slave to authority, right? What gives teachers or politicians so much power over you, specifically, that you will do harm to your children as long as some teacher or bureaucrat tells you to? You do know that teachers/bureaucrats are just people, right, and they are not omnipotent, right?

At what point are people going to stop with this shite and demand these administrators stop with the charade? Is it going to have to wait until the MidTerm elections and the Democrats lose power? Is that really what this is all about or are people just so afraid to go against the grain they won't "nut up"? People in charge need to take a page out of this Dad's book

I wonder if the kid was a 16 year old power fwd if he would have been suspended
