Just like that the “we are all in this together” message goes away and the new mantra is “bow down before your racial overlords or perish”

Just going by what I heard from one of the Lieutenants.

Said there were a lot that hadn't paid their dues and were on the fence about riding because of rules going forward.

Got to sit in on the Lieutenant video call a few months ago. Was the exact shitshow you would expect it to be.

Is this because the floats kept cutting people in half last year?

So... this means the Nyx waiting list opened up?

To clarify:

She posted and initially apologized to the krewe. She refused to apologize publicly. Then, she took her apology back.

ALL float captains with their floats (except the two captains on the three person board) told he she had by 5pm today to resign and have the bots expanded to 9 people, including one diversity spot. She responded by saying there have been black board members but they don’t last long and refused to resign. And said it will all just blow over.

All floats left. Around 4,000 members left and are supposed to get dues back. Whole thing has legal counsel already.

Some members didn’t want to ride because of what she said. Others because of how oblivious to current events her additional actions were. Others because they are now worried about protesting and actions while riding. The last because all their friends were leaving anyway.

Nyx is more of a collection of riders loyal to their own float and just collected in one parade. As the float captain goes, so does the riders of that float.
