You would think he'd know better. LINK

The U.S. Army says Former Maj. General Ronald Lewis will be demoted and retire as a brigadier general after he used a government credit card to pay for bills at strip clubs in Rome and South Korea.

I'll never understand people like this. You work for something your entire life and then piss it away for a few hundred (or thousand) bucks?

I guess he thought he was invincible...

These kind of things are reserved only for 4 and 5 star generals.

correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't major general a 2 star? Looks like he just lost one star.

ETA: I see he'd been promoted to three star. Then knocked back to two. Now his retirement will be as a one star. Hope he had a good time. He likely cost himself thousand/month in retirement pay.

The last rank he served at honorably was a 1 star that's why he was retired at that rank.

An O-9 (at 20 years which is pretty much not going to happen, but I'm using the lowest possible amount) makes 14,539 dollars a month - 16,358 at 30 years of service (much more likely).

How the frick can you not just bank a grand of that for titties and beer?

Give an enlisted guy a government credit card and you deserve everything you get.

Throughout my career, I came across many colonels and generals where my first impression was, "how did that guy survive being a Captain?"
