Houston is worse than nola for crime. NOLA probably has more killings per capita, but I don’t have to worry about smash and grabs in NOLA. In Houston it’s almost automatic if you leave something visible in your car.

houston is much closer new orleans than anywhere on my list in terms of crime, demographics, general cleanliness, etc.

to me, houston/dfw is a good place to start a career then gtfo

The economy improved and / or so did policing. This isn’t difficult.

These two places are under-rated. They're low-key, I guess. It's like the Northeast's version of the South but much cleaner, very white, and the skilled labor jobs are really good if you can get them.

Them winters tho.

not to mention Nolas trash, pothole, flooding issues?

I mean, I know what you’re saying and we’re on the same side here, but we should probably leave flooding out of our case for why Houston is better in every way to New Orleans.

These were the deputies. Atkins - the deputy who died with a 6 month old child - is on the right.

I can’t find the 45 Norte Sports Bar listing with Apple Maps to know much of building at address the bar used (building has multiple other listings), but that side of interstate seems a little run down. The address I have seen faces and is open to interstate & service road.

Did shooter try to rob someone or a car carrying a rifle or were the deputies set up somehow?

Some reports said they heard a disturbance and went to check, but other reports said they were told a robbery taking place outside of the bar and then ambushed with a rifle from behind. If I see someone robbing a person or a car and carrying a rifle I think I would include that information about the rifle when telling police.

First person they had in custody was let go.
