i don’t really care about comparing the murder rate to random points in history, seems pointless. What is concerning is the massive violent crime rate increase in the past 2 years in major cities.

Houston is worse than nola for crime.

it’s conservatively 4.5 times the population size of Nola. Makes sense

Also, I personally wouldn’t know. I live and work in the Spring/Woodlands area and nothing New Orleans has compares to that.

Also, a Houston vs New Orleans comparison seems silly, there is no comparison. So let’s stop wasting time on that.

I’m sure the Great Depression, and the abject poverty associated with it, had nothing to do with rampant criminality.

I'm pretty sure higher homicide rates than today existed before the depression.

Disingenuous you say? A shame i bring facts instead of hurt feelings, like yourself.

The drug wars of the 70’s. 80’s and 90’s occurred in a vacuum I guess. As stated, you are a disingenuous hack. Thanks for using a graph to illustrate my point.

They have 0 bearing on the rates before the depression, and very little to do with today's rate lower than the pre depression era.

Sure, but feel free to explain how we got below public execution rates... without public execution it's not a deterrent and you've brought nothing but a gaping vagina to back that claim.

I’ll take Audubon and city park over anything in Houston. Not to mention I can be in the Biloxi marsh within an hour of leaving work

In Houston it’s almost automatic if you leave something visible in your car.

In the 6 years I’ve lived in Houston, this has never happened to me.

In the 2 years I drove to high school in Gentilly it happened to me 5 times.

Bonus Nola shithole fact. I’ve never been vax carded in Houston but I was yesterday to get lunch in Nola.

New Orleans is basically Nassau with a few sports teams that are there because of the mercy of the Bensons. Not even worth a debate.

so do i.
and hundreds of Louisiana’s he’s talent every year leaves for better career opportunities and higher pay than Louisiana could possible offer. You yourself admitted we have more corporations. and our economy (this jobs) aren’t nearly as dependent on 1 or 2 industries.

Houston has an equally good zoo and we’re 2-3 hours from any outdoor activity you can imagine. You’re 2-3 hours from swamp, Misssissippi, and …?

good public schools

compared to Nola and most of Louisiana. Yup. Not really even close.

a once in a thousand year ice storm?

you’re like the Don Lemon of city reviews.

There’s no comparison between Houston and the 3rd world shithole from which you hail. Fun for a day or two, then you leave realizing how gross the place did and wanting a bleach bath to wash the Nola away. Meanwhile thinking, “yeah, for my fill of Nola for at least 5 years”

but this was entertaining and it’s probably a good thing you hold your city in such high regard. someone has to.

Well, that’s a pretty good thing to have in the Win column. New Orleans has majority tourist industry jobs.

Big difference that you’re minimizing.

You sure do love to take a dump on various places.

Can you provide an example of good places to live and what should be done to maintain that quality of life?

Thanks.

New Orleans has a similar white collar economy to Lafayette, maybe on the level of Baton Rouge
