I read the below, but the years don’t make sense. You don’t apply for asylum after being naturalized unless asking for asylum in another country (or maybe committed fraud with naturalization or one of the other offenses where naturalized citizenship can be taken away but then he wouldn’t actually be a citizen anymore like is being reported).
