28 year old covid vaccine trial participant has died (update: he had the placebo)

I'm admittedly not the smartest guy in the world, but I fail to see how this is a news story if they received the placebo.
Even if they had received a real vaccine, we know that vaccines are not 100% effective.

Hopefully everyone realizes that if the placebo is causing problems then it would be smart to question the "entirety" of all vaccine "safety" testing because typically they do not use what would scientifically classified as a "placebo."

For a lot of vaccines, the placebo is a different vaccine. Not sure if any vaccine safety trials are done with actual placebos.
