In a country where people are fat and show little or no initiative these young entrepreneurs should be commended

Mr. Feeney? That you?
Great idea, really.

That’s why this antifa stuff is dangerous. Sure, they are little limp wristed pussies, but the minute they get some actual force behind them, they’ll get all redfaced and reeeeeeing because people still see them as the wimps they are and will start ordering executions

Your highschool was fine with after hours boxing matches in the bathrooms?

Ought to just start a boxing club and capitalize on the interest

Absolutely. We didn’t have boxing in school but there was boxing gyms, AAU boxing and State Police boxing and it is a sport. Crowe Peel was an All American boxer at LSU who had great boxing teams.
They should build a ring in the gym and actually coach these kids on the fundamentals of the sport and allow them to learn something.
I grew up knowing three guys that boxed, two went to Catholic and one went to McKinley. They never once were involved in a street fight which there were plenty of.
Any discussion of liability - this would be no more than any other contact sport including fricking dodgeball.
But it will never happen because this country has changed tremendously and not all for the better.

We used to box after night prayer occassionally. Never heard even the hint of a suggestion that this was somehow wrong.

In what world do they think that the school is going to let these unsanctioned fights continue
I don't think there was any talk of allowing it to continue. Not sure where you got that.

The Lee High Invitational was the best tournament in the state...sad what it's become.

If the school administrators knew about this and did nothing it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. If a kid got locked out “boxing” in the bathroom and word got out that the principal was just letting it happen do you know how much trouble he’d be in? Now you might say the punishment and is agree they should just be suspended a day or two then come back but some action had to be made

Right. Schools can’t let kids box in the bathroom. Most of us just think the kids shouldn’t be expelled. And the school should consider a boxing team if at all possible. Might not be possible.

We used to box most days after school with the guys in my neighborhood. As we talked about it at school, many of our black friends wanted to come over and box but they didn't live in the neighborhood. So, we finally agreed that they'd ride the bus home with us and we'd all box and then our one friend that had a car would bring them back to the side of town they lived on. Bussing was alive and well in BR back then.
We cut a square shaped 'ring' in the grass so people couldn't just run around the yard with the gloves on. Out the ring, you got pushed back in.
Well, the black kids went like 5-0 against us. After Choo-Choo beat the absolute frick out of our best fighter Kris, we didn't invite them over any more.

Instead they let the kids slide by letting them withdraw from the school. What lesson does that teach? Make a mistake in life? Best solution is to quit and run away to avoid taking responsibility for your actions. Great work there school and parents.
I don’t view this as letting them slide. I view This as expelling them for something they should have gotten detention and wind sprints for

No but I would have gotten a week or two of before school detention picking up trash and cleaning the campus
