Is this the year we see all the savings? Is your W2 ready? Will they tax us only for 11/12 months due to shutdown?

All this bullshite over what amounts to .04% of a year's worth of federal spending.

Trump's got us shutdown for probably the next few months. Don't expect that return any time soon.

We pay for it to work, cost of not working shouldn’t be our problem

A lot of people will have a surprise because their withholding was also lowered. They may unexpectedly owe money.

Those with children may come out a little ahead. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Made more money in 2018. Paid less taxes. Getting a little more back. I’m not the 1% or a corporation.

It’s ridiculous how the left lies about the tax cut.

This may be true. I'm gonna crunch some numbers this weekend to see where we stand.

Question: I typically use Turbo tax, but I am open to any suggestions

I do mine Masters weekend every year. I also mail it in. I go old school with my taxes, print outs etc, and actually enjoy doing them now. Other than the sending in more than I pre-calculated. Usually some stupid change I didnt catch or know about.

This is a percentage that directly impacts civil servants. The parts we can cut are the War Pigs pours trillions into the sands of Iraq (yet poorly educated whites still voted for 4 more years of this in 2004 because we could not let the gays get married.)

Yes and Yes. I bumped my exemptions up one last year to keep the return about the same and get a lil bigger check.

Federal government has already come out and said that they WILL be processing tax refunds/payments despite the shutdown.

Dunno. But the SALT limitation in 2018 is going to cost me some jack.

My taxes won't be ready for a couple of months, it's an academic question (to me) whether I would have paid less or more, tax laws & regulations change year-to-year on the reg.

tl/dr: Situation normal, only care that I pay the legal minimum
