What does the rant know about this. Wife has one and the transmission is starting to hesitate. I's only 4 years old with 65K in miles. Anyone else have one with this problem

How do you know it's a rogue transmission?

It's a CVT. They break down after about 50,000-70,000 miles.

You're a little young to be posting here.

Sounds like a typical Nissan CVT.

A tranny that breaks down at 60K miles even without rough driving? ? What's with that. I'm reading up and found a recall on the sensors regarding this CVT......I'll bet that they typically break after the power train warranty expires

My wife had a 2011 Rouge. Never had any transmission problems. We sold it earlier this year.

I've had Nissans before and they were always very reliable. Just keep the oil changes regular and the fluids checked and pretty much that was it. Normal problems like new brakes every 75,000 miles, etc......but never anything like this.

This may be worse than the whole Mazda/Ford Transmission issues back in the 1990's....of course back then they would all fail completely at 100K miles

My guess is that the solution is either have an extended warranty.....or an extra 5K hanging around.

We had a 2013 Pathfinder so not sure if they've got the same transmission as the Rogue, but it is on transmission #3. Dealer did the replacements at no charge in our case and it was a known issue. First one went out at close to 40k miles.

Or sell it and buy a non-shitty car.

We had a 07 Altima with a CVT and it went out at about 85k. Luckily we had a 100k powertrain on that one.

Did you really expect a Rogue transmission to always be responsive to you?

That’s what Nissans do. I got rid of mine at 50K miles(i was the only owner) because i could feel the transmission starting to slip.
