re: BFARF-Canadian bitcoin miner about to uplist to NASDAQ - GeauxVols
Some interesting BFARF news today. Maybe it isn’t a turd after all! If you want to see the video just go to Yahoo money. “Elon Musk and others that attack the energy consumption of BTC mining don't understand what we're doing: Bitfarms CEO”...

re: Anyone have dark family secrets revealed by DNA testing?? - GeauxVols
I found an unknown half-aunt. It seems my grandfather on my dad's side must have gotten a bit frisky on shore leave. The half aunt is in the bay area and he was through there a few times during WWII. I've not made contact....

re: D Day Invasion: Would you rather be airborne or seaborne? (Edited) - GeauxVols
Airborne infantry or seaborne infantry is a clearer way to distinguish, imo. Only their insertion tactics differ (mostly, I'd imagine the seaborne force was far more mechanized)).
...

re: D Day Invasion: Would you rather be airborne or seaborne? (Edited) - GeauxVols
Depends on the wave and beach sector, but probably the Infantry. Airborne had it rough all around between the panic drops into marshy areas, the flak, the too low for the parachute to open drops, the out of control plywood gliders, the chaos of finding fellow paratroopers in the dark, being lightly...

re: The American Revolution and the Founding Fathers - GeauxVols
Rick Atkinson’s “The British are Coming” - 1st in a trilogy. His WWII trilogy is also fantastic. John Ferling’s “Almost a Miracle” I’d also second the Philbrick trilogy and recommend a few books on the war in the Southern colonies by John Buchanan. “The Road to Gulfport Courthouse” and “The Ro...

We could be cousins if you are tied to one of the Am Rev soldiers that moved to Alabama. I have an Alexander, Garrison, Inman, and Stephenson in my line. I've not done the paperwork to join yet though. I definitely have some Confederates in there, but will pass on joining the SCV. I've consider...

re: Should Southerners get reparations - GeauxVols
Southern Unionists were more worried about abuse from their Secesh neighbors than they were the US government. I've found multiple ancestors that served in the 1st Alabama Cavalry. Don't know their stories, but can only assume they were enthusiastic when Union troops showed up in North Alabama. If i...
