I get what you are saying, Aniston had the cute every-girl look, but wasnt hot or drop dead gorgeous. At the time, Jolie was much more exotic looking. I think Aniston has aged much better than Jolie fwiw.
Based on the 2 pix in the op, I'd take Jolie in 05 no question.

It's not as if both Jolie AND Aniston were in his life. Brad had already been with Aniston for quite some time before hooking up with Jolie.

I don't care what year you compare the two, I'd take Jenn over AJ. One mans exotic is another mans weird. Anniston is fine from any perspective, Jolie not so much- although I'd give Jolie the edge on curves at that time.
Jolie is weird to boot. And not a fun kind of weird. Crazy like that gets old after about a day, so points to JA for not being a freak.
