price shop every few years.

It may or may not have anything to do with LA or your company in general. If you have the same insurance for multiple years they figure you aren't going anywhere and say, frick it, let's see just how much this person will pay.

Shop around. LA car insurance is outrageous. Was shocked to see it was nearly 1/2 by moving to TX and have better coverage.

Yeah, no insurance company is settling for $100,000 without talking to the driver or the policy holder. Everyone here knows our state is a disaster. Why lie?

please don’t buy into this. That’s all BS insurance company tactics. They present that shite to the public and James Donnelon so he’ll ok another raise of your premiums and the public has someone to blame besides the insurance companies. Insurance companies aren’t going broke.

Ah, yeah I've noticed Safeco had an uptick in premium. I've had success switching my customers to National General or Met life auto...

Definitely shop that, I'm asssuming its through an independent agent?

Any issues with bundling home/auto? We have Safeco for both. I always find that’s the issue. We might can get lower on one but the other is way high, so combined sucks. Finding a good combination of home/auto prices to be difficult.

I rarely combine anymore.. I just have so many good options for homeowners that its been cheaper to shop that around.

Step 1 - an auto deductible should be as high as you can afford to pay if it's needed. Shop different deductibles too.

Mine are $2500 for each, I believe. It's as high as my loan would allow.

I loaned my car to a friend last December to pick up an acquaintance from the airport in NOLA. She was involved in a minor accident that involved a paint scratch on the side of other car’s front bumper, and no damage of any kind to my vehicle. The police were called to the scene to get a report. No ambulance or medical issues were reported. The insurance company called me last week to let me know they settled with the other party for policy limits of $100,000.00. They said the other driver had medical bills to back up her claims, but there was no property damage. The insurance company never questioned my friend or the other witnesses in my car. They just stroked a check.

This definitely happened
