Gotta pay the bills. Private schools have to get creative when it comes to generating revenue. They don’t get to be perpetually shitty and still get guaranteed tax money.

Daughters softball team just made 8K selling briskets. Talk about a pain in the arse storing all those till you can deliver them.

Another one he did last year was selling trash bags.

Ay least everyone needs those regularly.

How often do people buy mattresses?

I like how some of these little dickheads and their a-hole parents think it’s completely fine that they push their money handout agendas in their own neighborhood which has a no solicitation policy.

My kids are routinely the top sellers. I smile inside when they get recognized in front of the whole school whilst receiving their brand new PS4 and other students go “ooooo, aawwww”.

You get extra douche points for using the word "whilst" in your post.

Yep and it sucks because we still have to pay the taxes to support the crap public schools.

I just love paying out $9K in tuition and then the school coming to you begging for a "gap" payment.
It is what it is. Good schools require good support from the parents.

Just send Braeden, Klaxson, and Jhackxson out to Carrolton Ave. with a bucket and beg for funds. Easier.

We got to wait about 3 and a half weeks... but I know some parents were dealing with this on the 3rd day of school.

So much money is wasted at the state/district level, that the schools are forced to actually beg for money to have supplies, decorations, or anything nice.

The money our school makes from fundraising covers copy paper, toner, and occasionally a new piece of equipment for PE, art, music, etc.

Have you not heard of the "voucher program"?

That's becoming a popular one. Seems like it started in high school marching bands.

Seems like the logistics of that would be a pain in the arse though.

Know a group that did this. It was a swim team.

They had a one day event. Got use of the school gym. Company came an set up a few samples. Company did all the work that day, the team just drove traffic to the event. Team gets a cut.

Was pretty easily actually. Company collects the money and handles delivery.

I remember when my stepdaughter was attending Catholic grade school here in N.O. and not a week went by at the beginning of the school year that she wasn't bringing home a box of that stuff to sell.

And the school doesn't expect any of the stuff to come back.
